 Festive Zinnias

Zinnias were one of my favorite flowers in childhood. The seeds were easy to plant and fast to sprout. I planted them around my playhouse and gathered bouquets for inside our family’s home until frost.
I can imagine growing a flower garden filled with only zinnias since they come in so many flower forms, sizes, and colors.
Zinnias are native to Mexico and South America. The genus name Zinnia honors German botanist Joann Gottfried Zinn.
